Our Story
BUMPER (previously Consultom Projects Ltd) was founded in 2018 to provide production solutions and consultancy services to the global entertainment industry.
Since then, we've been a full service provider, supporting our clients from project conception to completion. In 2022, we rebranded and became BUMPER.
We also launched our dry-hire lighting department. This has allowed us to help our partners expand and/or contract depending on their needs in a post-Covid live events industry.
About our Founder
Thomas Higgins started his professional career as a (BE) Civil Engineer with a keen interest in production technology. Since secondary school, Thomas developed his skills as a lighting designer. While studying engineering at University, Thomas joined the drama society to further his knowledge and experience in lighting design and production.
After university, he started working in the UK for a systems integration company on projects in London, Dubai and Qatar, designing and managing the delivery of theatres, film and TV studios. It was during this time that he learned the importance of smart technical design and project management on large scale technical fit-out projects.
Recognising the importance of both technical design and project management, Thomas completed a MSc in Project Management and founded BUMPER to deliver full-scope technical consulting, project management and integration services to clients around the world.
